Nichole's interest in business began long before she entered the legal profession. She earned a degree in Economics before pursuing her legal education, developing an appreciation for how organizations make decisions, manage risk, and pursue growth. That foundation continues to shape the way she approaches legal work today, encouraging her to consider not only the legal issues involved, but also the commercial realities and strategic objectives behind them.

Early in her career, Nichole had the opportunity to support legal teams in both Australia and the United States. Working across different jurisdictions exposed her to a broad range of legal matters and reinforced an important lesson: regardless of geography, businesses value lawyers who communicate clearly, stay organized, and understand how legal advice fits within the broader goals of the organization.

Working while earning her law degree gave Nichole an early appreciation for balancing competing priorities and applying classroom learning to real client matters. Throughout law school, she supported U.S.-based attorneys while completing her legal education, allowing her to develop practical experience alongside her academic training.

Passing the Bar marked the culmination of years of balancing professional responsibilities with legal education and affirmed the kind of lawyer she wanted to become—one who combines careful preparation with practical, business-focused problem-solving.

Passing the Bar also confirmed something she had already begun to discover through practice. She enjoys not only practicing law, but also improving the way legal departments operate. Whether developing workflows, organizing transaction data rooms, implementing technology, or creating governance documentation, she finds satisfaction in building systems that allow legal teams to work more effectively.

That philosophy is one of the reasons she joined Unified CLO. She was drawn to the firm's belief that legal departments should function as true business partners while also creating a broader impact beyond individual client engagements.
