Christiane Baloc

Attorney & CPA

Executive Snapshot

Christiane Marie Baloc is a lawyer and Certified Public Accountant who brings a practical, detail-oriented perspective to legal work. Her background in audit, accounting, contracts, corporate support, intellectual property, securities filings, and litigation support helps her look at legal issues with both legal and business discipline.

Christiane works well with founders, executive teams, and senior attorneys because she is careful, organized, and focused on making legal work move. She brings the mindset of someone trained to test facts, review documents closely, identify gaps, and communicate clearly so that clients and legal teams can make informed decisions.

Why Clients Call Christiane

Christiane’s work is marked by structure, careful review, and clear communication. She is comfortable reviewing large volumes of documents, identifying issues that require attention, and helping the legal team determine what still needs to be clarified, corrected, or completed.

Her audit background shapes the way she approaches legal work. She looks closely at the facts, checks documents against the surrounding business context, and pays attention to inconsistencies that may create risk later.

Christiane also understands that executives need legal work to be clear and usable. She aims to explain issues in plain English, keep matters organized, and support decisions with careful analysis rather than assumptions.

As part of a legal team, she often works behind the scenes to help matters move efficiently. She collaborates with senior attorneys, paralegals, and client teams to help turn legal strategy into completed work.

Christiane’s Story

Christiane’s professional path began in accounting and audit. As an Audit Associate, she learned how businesses work from the inside: how controls are tested, how records are reviewed, how risks appear in financial statements, and how small details can affect larger business decisions.

That experience shaped the way she approached law school and the way she practices today. Christiane learned to treat documents as evidence of how a business actually operates, not just as formal requirements. Whether reviewing a contract, organizing a diligence file, or supporting a filing, she brings the discipline of both a lawyer and a CPA.

After earning her Juris Doctor and graduating near the top of her class, Christiane moved into legal work with Unified. Her practice has grown across contracts, corporate governance, M&A support, trademark matters, securities compliance, litigation support, and legal research. That range has helped her develop a broad view of client needs, especially for growing companies that need legal support across many areas at once.

Teaching has also been part of Christiane’s professional life. As a tertiary instructor, she taught law and accounting subjects. That experience strengthened her ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently, which continues to shape how she works with clients and colleagues.

Career Experience

Unified Law Group, PB LLC

Legal Consultant

At Unified, Christiane supports clients across a wide range of business and legal needs. Her work includes contract review and drafting, corporate governance documents, merger and acquisition support, trademark registration support, Form D and related securities filing support, business registration assistance, litigation support, and legal research.

She also manages and coordinates work with paralegals and associates. In that role, she helps organize assignments, review work products, and make sure matters continue to move efficiently for clients and senior attorneys.

Her contract work includes reviewing, revising, and drafting non-disclosure agreements, commercial agreements, licensing agreements, service level agreements, simple loan agreements, convertible notes, insider trading policies, board and stockholder or member consents, and other corporate documents. She has also reviewed more complex loan agreements and assessed contract compliance against prior agreements and applicable requirements.

In M&A and diligence matters, Christiane helps organize data rooms, maintain file structures, and support the review of corporate documents. This work is especially valuable for companies preparing for diligence, financing, acquisition, or internal legal cleanup.

Her intellectual property work includes trademark searches, trademark application support, and assistance with responses to USPTO office actions. She also supports securities-related matters, including assistance with Form D filings and related compliance tasks.

State College Instructor

Christiane taught legal and accounting subjects. This experience reflects her ability to explain technical material in a clear and organized way.

Teaching also reinforced a skill that is central to her client work: translating complex rules into practical understanding. That matters when working with founders, operators, and executives who need to understand the legal issue without being buried in legal terminology.

Audit Associate

Before becoming a lawyer, Christiane worked as an Audit Associate. She performed process reviews, walkthrough procedures, controls testing, inventory observations, tax return reviews, and financial statement reviews.

Her work involved collecting and analyzing data to identify deficient controls, unusual transactions, fraud or error risks, and non-compliance with contracts, laws, regulations, and management policies. She also drafted management recommendations on internal control deficiencies and prepared detailed reports on audit findings.

That experience gave Christiane a strong foundation in business operations, internal controls, financial reporting, and risk review. It continues to inform her legal work, especially when matters require careful document review, factual analysis, or coordination between legal and financial issues.

Beyond the Bar

Outside of work, Christiane enjoys a quiet life in the province with her family. She is a wife to a fellow CPA who can easily get absorbed in stock trading, a mother to a beautiful and happy baby girl, and a furmom to a hyperactive mixed-breed dog and a clingy pug with odd but very lovable antics.

She grew up close to family and still values the steadiness of provincial life, including time around her parents’ farm. For rest, she enjoys K-content, especially Korean variety shows, dramas, and movies.

Christiane also used to be an avid reader. She once finished the Harry Potter series during the CPA board review and, on another weekend, finished an entire trilogy instead of studying for an accounting quiz. After law school, however, reading began to feel a little too much like work, so she now finds leisure in quieter, lighter ways.
