Litigation-Informed Deal Strategist | Risk Assessor | Investigation Lead
Macy is a former Assistant District Attorney and judicial law clerk who brings courtroom clarity and risk-savvy insight to the transactional and investigative work she leads at Unified Law. Macy specializes in internal investigations, litigation-informed risk assessment, and M&A due diligence—leveraging her firsthand trial experience to flag what others miss and help clients steer clear of costly disputes.
With more than 25 trials under her belt and deep experience supporting clients facing felony charges, Macy knows exactly how legal exposure turns into litigation—and how to build deals and internal strategies that prevent it. She supports capital raises, risk audits, and pre-suit matters with a unique eye for contract gaps, operational landmines, and reps and warranties that won’t hold up under scrutiny.
Macy also supervises Unified Law’s offshore litigation support team in the Philippines, managing document reviews, discovery workflows, and diligence tasks that meet the firm’s high standards for quality and efficiency. She’s hands-on, business-minded, and always prepared—bringing both poise and practicality to the table, whether reviewing dataroom disclosures or preparing investigative summaries.
Core Areas of Focus
Pre-Suit Investigations & Internal Reviews
Macy is a trusted lead on internal investigations, particularly those involving employee misconduct, compliance breakdowns, or potential fraud. She guides clients through fact development, risk evaluation, and early-stage strategy before things escalate.
Litigation-Informed Risk Strategy
She brings courtroom experience into transactional work—making reps, warranties, and indemnities tighter, more realistic, and harder to challenge. She spots language and operational patterns that tend to break down in litigation, and helps clients fix them in advance.
Onshore-Offshore Legal Team Management
Macy plays a key leadership role in Unified Law’s hybrid team structure. She coordinates discovery and diligence efforts between U.S. attorneys and offshore professionals, ensuring strategic alignment, high-quality work product, and quick turnarounds.
M&A Diligence & Capital Raise Readiness
Macy evaluates business and legal risks from a litigator’s lens. She helps clients prepare clean, defensible deals by scrubbing datarooms, disclosure schedules, and contracts for red flags that could derail a transaction or cause post-close fallout.
