General Counsel | Deal Maker | Business-First Legal Partner
Akin Adekeye is a technology-focused General Counsel with 20+ years of experience guiding SaaS, e-commerce, manufacturing, fintech, and aerospace companies through growth, M&A, and exits. With an MBA and a background in software engineering, Akin brings both business and technical fluency to the boardroom — helping leadership teams scale smarter, close faster, and avoid the kinds of legal surprises that stall momentum.
Before Unified, Akin served as GC of Quickbase, Innovative Interfaces, and 4 Over International, and held senior legal roles at Microsoft, Wolters Kluwer, OppenheimerFunds, Caradigm, and Pratt & Whitney. He’s led corporate development and business development functions, advised on crypto and emerging tech, and sat at the center of complex buy-side and sell-side deals. He even started his career in BigLaw at Clifford Chance, where he cut his teeth on cross-border transactions — including the “European Deal of the Year.”
Akin calls his approach useful lawyering: cutting through noise and giving executives clear, actionable answers. He thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments and collaborates across finance, HR, marketing, and operations to make sure legal is an accelerant, not a bottleneck.
